About MomentBackup
MomentBackup exists because a backup should answer a simple question: can I get my things back? It keeps a browsable history of your files on storage you control, then checks that the history can really be restored. On Windows, it can also keep a recoverable image of your whole computer on a local or external drive, or a connected NAS.
What we believe
- Your backups are yours. They live where you choose. We run no hosted storage and keep no copy of your data — there's no MomentBackup server in the path between your computer and your destination.
- Your keys are yours. Encryption happens on your machine and the keys never leave it. We can't read your files, and we can't recover them for you — which is exactly why no one else can either.
- Buy it once. A personal license is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Pick a package for 1, 3, 5, or 10 of your own computers. There's no storage bill because we never hold your data.
- Restores always work. Getting your files back is never gated behind a license check — even on a new or offline machine.
- Personal, not corporate. MomentBackup is built for individuals protecting their own handful of machines — not fleets, domains, or admin consoles.
